A Poignant Reminder from Beantown

A brief (but meaningful) time back in one of my heart’s favorite places.

As I strolled down Comm Ave with my coffee, I could feel the presence of that wild-haired 16-year-old who fearlessly ran the streets of Boston in her purple peacoat, and saw the world with magic and stars in her eyes.  It was so poignant to reflect on the (what seems like) several lifetimes since then, and the path that led that girl to be the woman she is today, both musically and personally.

I think I needed the reminder that she’s still inside of me, that tough little cookie - and despite the ups and downs of life, I’m getting to live the things she dreamed of.  Her joy is still my joy.
